our services

Emergency lighting units are everywhere, from light units, to remote heads and emergency exit signs. Most units rely on batteries to provide the necessary light during a power outage or an emergency. As with any battery and/or electronic device, regular maintenance is required to make sure it is working to the best of its ability. Not only do we provide the units themselves for new installations or retro-fits. We also provide the necessary annual testing services, replacement batteries and repair services

Emergency Light Packs (ELU)

ELUs are enclosed units that generally power two or more lights throughout the building. They house one or many batteries to provide the necessary light during a power outage or an emergency. ELUs packs are generally easily identifiable, as they are a large box with two lights on the top. Some of them may not have any lights on them. Instead the unit powers remote emergency light heads. Our team can provide new installations, retro-fits, annual inspections and any necessary repairs for these emergency light packs.

Emergency Exit Signs

Emergency exit signs are quite possibly the most noticeable emergency lighting system. They are generally strategically placed above emergency exit doors. For larger buildings they are placed along emergency exit routes. With older signs showing a red “EXIT” slogan, while the new signs, called “Running Man Signs”, depicting a white figure on a green background running into the direction of the exit. Many of these signs have their own batteries that require periodic replacement. Some may rely on an ELU pack for the backup power. Our team is equipped to provide new installations, retro-fits, annual inspections and any necessary repairs for emergency exit signs.

Remote Emergency Light Heads

Remote heads are often a confusing topic, as their power-source is oftentimes not clear. Remote heads are generally one or two lamps that rely on an ELU pack to light up during a power outage or an emergency. Many larger buildings have a centrally located emergency light pack with several remote  heads distributed throughout the building to illuminate the necessary egress pathways. Regular inspections on these remote heads are required to ensure they will light up in case of an emergency. Our team is equipped to provide new installations, retro-fits, annual inspections and any necessary repairs for remote heads.
